Northern Turbine Services is a company responsible for installing and servicing a significant quantity of wind turbines across Scotland. We heard from Kelly Coghill - our main point of contact at NTS. Working closely with the company's founder and Managing Director, Adrian Kerins, they've built a very future-focussed, dymanic team, always looking for ways to improve and grow the business!
Why did you choose to work with CRC?
“I wasn’t happy with the once-a-year service from our previous accountant, which was not proactive enough for me. I went on the hunt for a Chartered Accountant that was very capable, that was proactive, and would give us a really high level of service, and that’s exactly what we have gotten with CRC”
Was there anything that you would say exceeded your expectations of working with us?
"It’s not been what I expected, based on other accountants I’ve dealt with – I’m usually having to chase them!
It's like, CRC is driving us. As far as I’m concerned I’ve never had to chase CRC for a response or answer to anything!
We’d never had forecasting, or looked at objectives and KPI’s with our previous advisors. Things that are extremely important in our day-to-day business now."
If you had to describe what it was like working with us to somebody else, how would you describe us?
“I like that is professional, but it can also be quite relaxed, fun and have a laugh - it's being able to have that balance right.
Everytime somebody picks up the phone, you get an answer to the question. If you can't get an answer to the question straight away, we know someone will get back to us quickly.
I don’t have to chase you days and weeks after, which is different from past experience of other firms!”
“I think CRC is probably the first firm I've worked with I don't have a genuine criticism about.”
Thoughts from CRC
Since working with CRC Accountancy, Northern Turbine Services have grown significantly. This has largely down to the stellar efforts by Adrian, Kelly and the NTS team. Our working relationship has had to adapt and change as time’s gone on, ensuring we’re always help NTS keep focussed on what they’re seeking to achieve, developing targets (financial and non-financial), and working closely to ensure these targets are met.
It's a thoroughly enjoyable relationship to be part of, and we look forward to seeing where NTS go over the years to come!
