I’ve always had a keen interest in Beauty Therapy . . . in fact I started painting nails before I could properly speak!!
When I was still at school, my aim was to own my own business by the time I was 18. (I even made a bet with a friend. Ha!). Once I finished college at 17 years old, I started my own business called ‘IC Beauty’ this was a great experience and I learnt a lot throughout. Using further experience I gained from working abroad on cruise ships, I’ve settled back in Orkney now and run a salon, Image. Taking on the salon was a big decision and something I’m so glad I did!
Outside work, I enjoy treating myself to beauty treatments (much more relaxing than doing them to yourself), meeting up with friends, playing in the local pipe band, and travelling. Oh, and I love making crafts - I find it very therapeutic!
I’m definitely a ‘practical’ person. The paper side of things can be very overwhelming and time consuming. By handing it all to my darling brother it makes my life so much easier! I’d highly recommend Calvin. He is able to support me throughout the year and has helped me understand the accounts side so much more. I’m now able to take time off work and concentrate on things I enjoy doing, knowing that the paper side of things are up to date and in good capable hands.

As her accountants, and also with Calvin being her older brother, it's great to have seen Inga's progression from working tirelessly for clients in the folks livingroom, to now running a salon. The balance of working hours is hopefully now falling into Inga's favour - after all, it seems fair reward for the work she's put in to date!
